Product design is a broad term inseparably connected with product creation. Product design is a term that combines several concepts, including user experience design (UX) and user interface design (UI). It is a complex process of designing and adapting an IT solution to the needs of an end-user, taking into account not only functionality but also simplicity, responsiveness and accessibility.
Product design consists of creating products from the idea stage (joint work of IT Analyst and System Architect), through research, tests, workshops, to the implementation and analysis of solutions for future problems related to the product.
The more functional and necessary the final product is, and the wider the group of its users, the more significant its UX/UI design is.
UX is responsible for user experience creation, which means ensuring that the visitor feels comfortable on the website, knows how to use the buttons and how to find the information they need. The UX field also includes the intuitiveness of navigating the application and the quick understanding of new functions.
UI, on the other hand, is the visual layer of what has been previously built and tested. User Interface defines the colours, animations, fonts, i.e. everything you see at the end, in the finished product. It is not about designing the layout of elements on the page but merely making them aesthetically consistent and pleasing.
In conclusion, it can be said that UI design is at the core of UX design. Both fields complement each other and together form a project design concept.
Properly tailored and developed system design makes the software interface neat, consistent and enjoyable to use. To maintain consistency and optimise workflows, with product design, we create the product in a process, in stages, as if made of building blocks.
